Let me just say I'm a HUGE fan of scary/thriller/mystery movies, I love Leighton Meester, and I've been excited for this movie since the time the filming pics were first released.. But this was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Mediocre acting, un-relatable characters, completely rushed storylines, and NO EXPLANATION for Rebecca's psycho-ness. What's sad is that with a good backstory and some tweaking on the characters and their relationships, this could have been a really decent movie. If you're debating about going to see this, DON'T. You can't even go see it to laugh at it because of how dumb it is. Save your money or see something else and wait for it to come out on DVD. You'll thank me later.

So many people wrote negative reviews for this movie. I did not see SWF as everyone is comparing it to but I thought The Roommate was really good. I had huge doubts going in thinking this movie would be very cheesy and too PG-13 for my taste. The Roommate had jumpy scenes, a few that I didn't really want to watch. I left the movie theather thinking Leighton Mister was really psychotic, she played her part so well and very believable.

Another lame weekend horror movie. do not recommend!!!

This movie wa actually preatty good. It was kinda creepy though but good.

Sara is a freshman going to college. She?s moving out of her house and into her new home the campus dorms. Sara meets her roommate Rebecca. In the beginning they got along great as roomies and friends. Then she started to get a tad obsessive over Sara. Come watch the cirque du soleil jump out of Rebecca?s head and scare Sara almost to death. Literally. Almost the whole movie was shot at the USC campus. This is a horror film but you?ll laugh so much you?d think it was a comedy. Just ask yourself where could someone get attacked on campus or at the dorms. You just figured out the whole movie. I laughed so hard, I can?t give it a 2 so a soft 3 stars out of 5
